Why I have two refrigerators
Christmas Menu

This week is family mania week. My all-time favorite Christmas movie is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. It’s just so relateable!

“No one’s leaving. Nobody’s walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family Christmas. No, no! We’re all in this together! This is a full-blown four-alarm holiday emergency here! We’re going to press on, and we’re going to have the hap, hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny f*ckin’’ Kaye! And when Santa squeezes his fat white a** down that chimney tonight, he’s going to find the jolliest bunch of a**holes this side of the nut house.”

In the span of 5 days we’ll be seeing/hosting over 15 different family members – and I am genuinely excited. No, seriously, there is no sarcasm in that statement. I am fully prepared to have at least a half-dozen melt downs, but it’s all part of Christmas. The other part is full of laughing and making memories and seeing those you love most, oh and cooking! Oh, do I have plans for cooking… Muahahahahaa! Check it:

And that’s just the list of online recipes. We’ll also be making and devouring lots of family recipes:

  • Mom’s butter rolls
  • Wisconsin Cheese and crackers
  • Apple Gorgonzola Salad
  • Green Bean Casserole
  • Pickle Wraps
  • Grandma’s Cranberry Salad
  • Butternut Squash
  • Pecan Pie
  • Cherry Pie

It’s gonna be epic. I’ve made my grocery list and it’s mind-boggling. I’ll definitely be making use of both fridges and maybe even the wine fridge. I think some of the produce would be quite happy in the wine fridge! I also plan to play lots of board games, drink lots of Rum Chata and wine, make several Tom and Jerrys, and watch lots of Christmas movie classics. I’ll make sure to check back in with you once I’ve made it through the post-Christmas haze to let you know how all the recipes fared. Hopefully nothing as bad as all this:
